Online Marketing Manager (m/w)



The Digital Field Marketing Manager will manage the digital marketing and distribution initiatives for Starwood Hotels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

With the confines of the hotels’ marketing budget and needs, the Digital Field Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning and execution of key initiatives which will drive digital sales for hotels in Germany. The position will have direct accountability for driving KPIs for a specific portfolio of properties.  There is a strong focus on driving incremental revenue to hotels within Germany, Austria and Switzerland through tactical campaigns, segmental and destination marketing, search engine optimization and email marketing. The position will report directly into the Director Digital Field Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / SCOPE OF CORE SERVICES

  • Develop with the hotel Sales, Marketing and Revenue team as well as the responsible Digital Field Marketing Executive an individual 180 day rolling digital marketing plan, focusing on demand generation and high impact activities with proven ROI.
  • Lead and monitor the execution of all digital (web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media) activities at due date, according to the aligned 180 day rolling digital marketing plan of the respective property.
  • Direct and support needs of the markets and properties to ensure maximization of all marketing channels and an integrated plan to include Branded websites, Local Property Sites, Special Offers pages, email Marketing, Segmental platforms etc.
  • Manage best in class online content distributed through web internal channels for all assigned hotels in Germany to make sure it drives conversion, remains accurate and brand compliant.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing activities against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Provide monthly report on production, trends, booking and stay patterns as well as channel analysis.
  • Work closely with the digital field marketing team, suppliers, as well as internal stakeholders at hotel, corporate and brand level

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The individual must be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Experience:

  • Degree strongly preferred in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Marketing or Communications.
  • 2+ years digital marketing experience
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written German and English.
  • Strong understanding of the digital environment as a distribution and marketing / engagement channel.
  • Excellent communication skills; Demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Self-organized and deadline-sensitive
  • Digital native and fast-learner. Knowledge of basic HTML
